We got acquainted with Ash through a friend. Before we even discussed details about the package, Ash made an effort to understand us as individuals and the details that were meaningful to our relationship – how we met, what we saw in each other, and the expectations we had for the wedding. That, to me, was unexpected, as I had imagined the process of hiring a photographer to be a transactional one.
Ash was most accommodating with the different arrangements we had to make, especially with our rather unusual wedding that was spread across two days a week apart. This was coupled with Covid restrictions that had suddenly changed, which drastically increased the number of permitted guests (and consequentially our event flow). Nevertheless, he made an effort to understand our changing needs, and was empathic and understanding regarding our additional requests.
The day before the wedding, Ash took the time to come by our venue when we were having our rehearsal just to meet our friends and us in person, and to familiarise himself with the place. A most thoughtful gesture – again I'm not sure if this is industry standard, but it made us feel valued that Ash would take the extra time and effort to do so.
The shoots on the actual days were most comfortable. Ash easily directed the wedding party and even though none of us were too familiar with posing for shoots, he gave simple and clear instructions that made it easy. Some things didn't go as planned on our part (a forgotten bouquet and storm clouds on the morning itself), but he also shared that it is such imperfection that gives a wedding character. I guess ours had plenty of character then!
Not to mention the speed edits after each shoot day – the key photos came out so quickly that many of our friends were astounded. (Especially those that had just gotten married, since they were even more familiar with how long it can take). Our friends loved your shots, and of course we couldn't help but also recommend you to those who were looking to get married soon.
Thanks for making our wedding memorable, and for not just being a photographer and vendor but also someone we can now call a friend. You've made all the difference for us, and we're grateful!

NO RAGRETS! We came across Ash's profile randomly on Instagram one day and fell in love with his photo and editing style. We felt that Ash was able to convey the emotions of the people behind each photo, which was what we were looking for. And as we hoped for, Ash surpassed our expectations and delivered above and beyond!
Before engaging his services, Ash took the time to get to know us and understand what we were looking for. He also did not pressure us into engaging his services, but was patient and professional as we sourced other options.
For the actual day, Ash was early and extremely accommodating to our schedule, moving from place to place with us without any complaints and taking candid professional shots wherever we went (which we love!). We wanted to take some shots with our entourage at Jurong Lake Garden, but did not have any time to do a recce, but Ash advised us accordingly and brought us to the spot we were thinking of!
Ash is also very friendly and does his job with all his heart. The photos delivered are more than we have asked for, and we received so many compliments! So, thank you Ash! Thank you for capturing our day so effortlessly and allowing us to reminisce. We teared while re-looking at the photos! ;-;

I came across Ashley because his friend recommended him on Budget brides. I clicked onto his portfolio and I immediately fell in love. I showed my husband, he loved it too, so we booked Ashley almost immediately. All communications were perfect.
We met up so he could get to know us before our wedding. We were expecting to see a guy in his 30s because the pictures speaks so much and we were convinced it has to be shot by a very experienced photographer. Little did we know, how wrong we both were. It just goes to show how gifted and talented Ashley is! We love unintentional shots because both of us are not so good at posing, we just wanted to capture beautiful moments of our wedding with our loved ones.
We conveyed that to Ashley, after receiving the photos after the wedding, we sat through wow-ing at almost every picture. "We looked so good?!?!". In fact, all our guests looked so good. The best part was I never remembered seeing much of him during the wedding, he was like a ninja I think.
I would definitely recommend Ashley to everyone out there, please do yourselves a favor by hiring him. Thanks for the great job again, Ashley!

Zero regrets in engaging Ashley as the photographer for our big day! Aside from liking his photography and editing style, what makes us chose him is because there is no capped limit on the no. of photos to be taken. Which is awesome?? Imagine if you were to have a full day of fun but end up have to top up $$ in order to have ALL the photos because of a certain capped limit...
Anyway, we are so happy that he managed to capture so many genuine emotions from our families and friends!! Once again, thank you so much Ashley for your effort and patience, we truly appreciate it! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We had a very pleasant experience with Ashley Matthew, not just during the actual day itself but during the whole planning process. He took the time to come down during our rehearsal (by his own accord) to recce the place and get to know us better which made us feel his sincerity in making sure he captured our wedding day in the most personal way he could. And he did!!

It was a great and very fun photoshoot. In fact it didn’t even feel like a photoshoot because Ashley was very natural in allowing us to express ourselves as a couple, instead of being overly restrictive about the type of poses we could do. He also captures the candid and romantic moments between couples very well.
